Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul is now going by "doctor" on Twitter and has a new handle entirely.
Paul is expected to launch his presidential campaign tomorrow in his home state of Kentucky in a speech.
Removing the title of "senator" from his Twitter handle could be one step in a presidential campaign that is expected to use antiestablishment and anti-Washington themes.
Until yesterday this was Rand Paul's Twitter account. The account was "Senator Rand Paul" and the handle was "@SenRandPaul."
Now that page is gone:
Paul is now just @RandPaul and going by "Dr. Rand Paul." Randpac.com has also been replaced with RandPaul.com.
The Twitter account was previously squatted on by someone named "Harris Paul."
