Senate Judiciary Chairman: Clinton Probably Violated The Law, Some Suggest Prosecution Over Email

"They all fall into one great big mistake she made and it could be a violation of law, probably is a violation of law."

Iowa Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley, the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, says former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's use of personal email likely violated the law and some are suggesting she could be prosecuted.

"They all fall into one great big mistake she made and it could be a violation of law, probably is a violation of law," Grassley said Tuesday on NewsMaxTV's The Steve Malzberg Show. "Some people are suggesting she could even be prosecuted and it's as simple as this: She was using a private email address instead of a government one and it probably violates the Freedom of Information Act. It probably violates national security legislation ... laws ... and it really hurts congressional oversight."

The chair of the Benghazi Select Committee said Friday that he was told by Clinton's attorney that the she permanently deleted emails from her personal server. The Associated Press reported Friday Clinton emailed staff from an iPad as well as a Blackberry despite saying she used her personal email address because it was convenient to use a single device.
