President Obama said Friday that "we are not going to completely eliminate terrorism." The President was speaking at a White House press conference on the recent al-Qaeda threat emulating from the Arabian Peninsula.
"We are not going to completely eliminate terrorism," the President said. "What we can do is to weaken it, and to strengthen our partnerships in such a way that it does not pose the kind of horrible threats that we saw on 9/11."
President Obama also said he would not discuss the series of recent drone strikes taking place in Yemen. According to a reports, the total of number strikes since July 28th has been eight with a death toll of 34.
"I will not have a discussion about operational issues," Obama said.
