In 2004 Press Release, Romney Adminstration Touted Ability To Get Food Stamps

President Obama often finds himself the target of Republican attacks for his record of increasing food stamps for poor Americans: Newt Gingrich alled him the "food stamp president." Presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney has charged the President wants to turn America into a "European social-welfare state." But in a 2004 press release, Governor Romney's office boasted of receiving a grant of $1.25 million for their ability to operate the programs efficiently.
