Breaking With '08 Rhetoric, Jay Carney Won't Call Jerusalem Capital Of Israel

In a video that had gone viral on YouTube, White House press secretary Jay Carney refused to identify the capital of Israel to White House reporters. The statement by Carney is a far cry from 2008 when Obama was unequivocally stating Jerusalem would be the capital of Israel. The White House's official policy on the capitol of the country, however, remains consistent with previous administrations.

2008:"Jerusalem will remain the capital of Israel and it must remain undivided."
