Hacker organization The Syrian Electronic Army (SEA) compromised Skype's social media accounts on Wednesday, marking the first digital attack by the organization in 2014. Last year, SEA claimed to have hacked President Obama, The New York Times, NPR, the BBC, 60 Minutes Twitter's feed, The Huffington Post, and various other media companies.
Skype appears to have quickly regained control of its Twitter account. The tweet reading "Stop spying on people! via Syrian Electronic Army @Official_SEA16 #SEA cc @FBIPressOffice" has been deleted from Skype's Twitter feed.
