Footage from the school's security cameras shows the male leopard attacking one of the men attempting to remove it.

The incident happened at Vibgyor International School in the city of Bangalore. The leopard was eventually tranquilized and released, the BBC reported.

The leopard entered the school at about 4 a.m. and eluded security personnel for more than 14 hours before it was finally caught, the Times of India reported.

"It was a long struggle to capture the leopard. Although it was injected with tranquilizers it could be captured only around 20.15 local time when the medication took full effect," senior police official S Boralingaiah told reporters.

The leopard was released to a nearby national park and the six injured people, including a cameraperson of a local TV channel, were treated for minor injuries.
