This Quiz Will Brighten The Crap Out Of Your Day

[Studies have shown](http://pss.sagepub.com/content/early/2013/09/18/0956797613492773.abstract) that "social warmth" is physiologically and neurologically similar to actual warmth.

It's true!

The two types of animals have been spotted [multiple times](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lC3AkGSigrA) playing with each other.

Orangutans are mostly [solitary](http://pin.primate.wisc.edu/factsheets/entry/orangutan/behav) creatures. But here's a more happy orangutan fact: When first born, a baby orangutan and their mother literally [never break contact](http://pin.primate.wisc.edu/factsheets/entry/orangutan/behav) for the first four months of the baby's life.

Sadly, this is not true.

To the best of our knowledge, no such study has been performed. Don't fret, though, dogs are totally [stoked on fetch](http://www.huffingtonpost.com/quora/why-are-dogs-so-obsessed-_b_6407164.html) if they are playing with you.

Not true!

There is no evidence that empathy, i.e. the ability to put yourself in the shoes of another individual to understand their emotions, is universal to all animals. But don't despair! Lots of animals have empathy and show it off in [really cool ways](https://www.ted.com/talks/frans_de_waal_do_animals_have_morals).

Sadly, not true.

Studies have shown that chimps will [lend a helping hand](http://journals.plos.org/plosbiology/article?id=10.1371%2Fjournal.pbio.0050184#pbio-0050184-b015) to humans and other chimps even when they get nothing out of it for themselves.

They are eager to [teach other birds](http://www.australiangeographic.com.au/news/2011/09/birds-of-a-feather-talk-together/) they run into the sounds of the human world!

On the plus side, though, male bowerbirds woo their mates by [building](http://video.nationalgeographic.com/video/weirdest-bowerbird) elaborate and colorful homes.

And just look at the eager [experimental subject](http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2015-02/cp-dkt020615.php) over there.
