Dick Van Dyke Pulled From His Burning Car On L.A. Freeway

The 87-year-old actor is reportedly fine after his sports car caught fire Monday afternoon.

His wife, Arlene, posted this video showing the car completely burned on the side of the 101 freeway in Calabasas.

"He's fine thank God!!" she wrote.

Drivers passing by the scene snapped photos of the car fully engulfed in flames.

The California Highway Patrol responded to the report of a car fire around 2 p.m. on Monday, the LA Times said. Two off-duty nurses near the scene apparently aided the driver in escaping the burning vehicle. The cause of the incident was not immediately known.
